Academy Director – Professional Teacher

Founded in 1917, Club Laval-sur-le-Lac is a private 36-hole golf club known for the quality of its facilities, the competence of its professional team and its friendly atmosphere. Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Golf Director, the Academy Director is responsible for the planning, management and deployment of all golf programs. The Club's teaching program, including the junior program, member clinics and training activities offered at the Academy.
This position plays a key role in the Club's mission to promote the development of golf at all levels, in a professional, stimulating and welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities
• Participate in the development, planning and implementation of educational programs for members and juniors;
• Manage the junior program as a whole: summer camps, development programs, competitive component and follow-up with parents;
• Supervise the work of the Academy team: camp manager, coordinators and teaching professionals;
• Ensure the administrative management of registrations and financial follow-ups related to the programs;
• Participate in the training and supervision of junior interclub teams, including travel to competitions;
• Actively participate in teaching programs (joint clinics, themed, junior, training, etc.);
• Collaborate in certain member tournaments when required;
• Offer private lessons to members and manage their availability in the booking software;
• Play with members when their schedule allows.
Desired Profile
• PGA of Canada member in good standing (or equivalent);
• Demonstrated experience in golf instruction, instructional communication and coaching program management;
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals and coordinators;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Initiative, organizational skills and autonomy;
• Knowledge of teaching technology tools (TrackMan, CoachNow, Operation 36 / Golf Genius, etc.) an asset;
• Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
Compensation and benefits
• Salary determined according to experience and extent of responsibility;
- Base salary $30,000 - $50,000 depending on experience and assigned duties
- Potential lesson revenue $20,000 - $50,000 $
• 100% private lessons income paid to the professional;
