Professional - Buckingham Golf Club

The Buckingham Golf Club is looking for a passionate golf professional to join its dynamic team.

This position will be implemented in two phases:

• 2026 season: Assistant professional at the Buckingham Golf Club alongside the head professional (Mr.Éric Robillard) to familiarize yourself with club operations and the responsibilities of the position

• 2027 to 2029 seasons: The role of head golf professional at the Buckingham Golf Club.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage a pro shop, which he/she will own.

• Purchase and market products.

• Hire and supervise a team to work in the pro shop and back room.

• Manage employee payroll.

• Provide the following services:

• Collect green fees

• Rent golf carts and manual carts

• Sell baskets of balls for the driving range

• Rent lockers and storage spaces

• Manage tee time reservations and draw tee times • Offer golf lessons to members

• Perform minor repairs on clubs and grips • Supervise marshals

• Ensure the smooth running of golf rounds (members, guests, and tournaments)

• Perform any other related tasks related to club operations Collaboration

The successful candidate will work closely with:

The food service concessionaire - The course superintendent - The board of directors

He or she will occasionally be invited to attend board meetings.

Required profile

• Motivational leadership and excellent team spirit

• In-depth knowledge of the golf industry and its trends • Organizational skills and rigorous priority management

• Ability to work under pressure

• Versatility, autonomy, and initiative

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a golf shop

• Entrepreneurial experience

• Be a member in good standing of the PGA of Canada or the PGA of Québec, Class A status Conditions and benefits

Very competitive compensation, starting at $100,000 annually, to be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
