A Memorable Day to Benefit the Fondation Institut de Gériatrie of Montreal at the Montreal Country Club

Saint-Lambert, June 8, 2026 – The Fondation Institut de Gériatrie of Montreal held its annual Pro-Am tournament today at the Montreal Country Club, under the honorary co-chairmanship of Mario Charpentier, BCF avocats d’affaires, and Annick Mongeau, Décision, cabinet-conseil inc., bringing together partners, donors, and golf enthusiasts for a day marked by generosity and camaraderie.

Organized in collaboration with the PGA of Québec, the event offered participants a unique experience playing alongside professionals. Teams competed in the popular Vegas format, which promotes both competition and fun on the course.

Even before the round began, players were able to take advantage of services provided free of charge by the Accès Physio team, who were on-site to offer treatments and advice to participants. Throughout the day, golfers also enjoyed several perks from the event’s partners, including complimentary Cracked Canoe beer on the course and BEHY hydration drink packets placed in the carts before the start.

After the round, participants gathered for a cocktail reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, a buffet, and networking. The evening continued with a silent auction, allowing guests to further support the Foundation’s mission.

On the sporting front, the team composed of professional Louis-Philip Coursol and amateurs Mario Charpentier, Maxime Talbot, Pierre-Marc Charpentier, and Louis-François Charpentier took home the tournament honors with an excellent score of 58 (-14) under the Vegas format.

Beyond the results on the course, the day was primarily an opportunity to raise essential funds to support the mission of the Fondation Institut de Gériatrie of Montreal. Thanks to the generosity of participants, partners, and donors, a total of $255,000 was raised during this 2026 edition.

“We are extremely grateful to all the participants, partners, volunteers, and professionals from the PGA of Québec who contributed to the success of this day. Their commitment allows the Foundation to continue its mission and make a tangible impact on the people it supports,” said Marie-Hélène Vendette, Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Fondation Institut de Gériatrie of Montreal warmly thanks all participants, as well as its main partner, Le Groupe Maurice, and its valued presenting partners—Cogir, Groupe Santé Sedna, EY, and Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton—for their contribution to the success of this event.
