ARNOLD MCLEAN JR.'S SUDDEN DEATH THIS WEEKEND

ARNOLD MCLEAN JR.'S SUDDEN DEATH THIS WEEKEND

For the second time since the beginning of the year, the PGA of Quebec lost a president.

By Mario Brisebois

It is with dismay that, over the weekend, we learn of the death of Arnold
McLean Jr.,  from the Lorraine Club.

He was 73. He had been provincial president of the assistant-pro category in 1977.
He was his father's son, Arnold Sr., having been Canadian president.
According to reports, Junior was struck down with a heart attack. He was out
removing the snow from his car during the storm. Paramedics were unable to
revive him.
Arnold Jr. has always been associated with the Lorraine golf course founded by his father. He had taken over the operations after his father's retirement.

There is a lot of reaction in the community, which follows that of the death last week of Bruce Fry, former Summerlea and Hermitage pro, as well as former President of the PGA of Quebec.

Our condolences to his wife Cindy and brother Brian.
