Add the indoor golf and training centers join the closures club
until at least 9 February following prime minister's Francois Legault 'electroshock'.

It is all indoor sports and leisure activities that become prohibited
except hockey even though the Canadian will not play "at home" until January 28. The
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will also be in action next week
in bubble cities.

The previous decree allowed solo or group classes with eight students for a
teacher, but it is now "Nyet!", apart from the golf-study programs that will be able to
January 18. It's confirmed.

THE "SNOWBIRDS" STAY IN THE NORTH

As a good citizen, golf in the province is resigned, but...
"It's a major blow on the revenue side for our teaching professionals," says
Dominic Racine, the general manager of the PGA of Quebec, also chair of the Industry Consultation Table.
"This is more the case since people have found, last summer, the sting for the sport as
show the high turnout levels everywhere," he says.

"In the other very good reasons why indoor golf was going to be busy is that
many of our "snowbirds" are staying here this year," adds the CEO.

ANOTHER ERA

There's still virtual golf. In the spring, the PGA of Quebec had requested and posted
advice capsules on its website for the general public.
Winter golf has changed a lot. Far is the era of wall less parish halls
wherever a floor-to-ceiling canvas was installed to stop the bullets being struck on the
a rubber mat often too worn.

There are now suitable premises and plenty of electronic simulators for people
to play the world's most famous courses, leagues and even a 19th hole in
normal pre-pandemic time that is no longer pre-pandemic.
Investments continue to be made.

"In Laval-sur-le-Lac, Rémi Bouchard and Steven Brosseau, President of the PGA
have installed a screen for members who have stayed here," adds Dominic Racine.
On May 20, golf was the first sport to be allowed to be re-open by Public Health.

Birdie...
It goes to our our gilrs who are doing well in Florida in the big events. After Brigitte Thibault's victory at the Dixie tournament in Palm Aire (Pompano) before christmas, Celeste Dao started 2021 with a 5th place at the Orlando International.
Remember that the Canadian Women's Championship will be held in Royal Montreal this summer.

SILENCE, PLEASE!

This was a great opportunity missed in Hawaii this weekend by Justin Thomas, 3rd in the
Sentry Champions tournament won by Harris English. After missing out a four- or five-foot putt for par, he made homophobic remark picked up by the TV microphones.

LAST HOUR

The PGA of America voted Sunday night to withdraw from the Trump Bedminster Course in
New Jersey, to present its national championship in 2022 despite the money already invested.
The PGA has almost 20,000 members in the Trump network  and 17 clubs.

Hope!
The days began to lengthen in brightness...
