Jeevan Sihota Remains in the Lead After the Third Round of the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup

Victoriaville, August 15, 2026 – The third round of the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup concluded Saturday at the Victoriaville Golf Club, with players completing 54 holes. The competition remains particularly tight at the top of the leaderboard, with a final round on Sunday that promises to be a close contest.

Sihota Holds the Lead

Already in the lead after the first two rounds, Jeevan Sihota maintained his lead at the top of the leaderboard after another round of 69 (-3). With a cumulative score of -18, Sihota will enter the final round in first place.

He is closely followed by AJ Cavotta, who stands at -17 after shooting a 67 (-5) today. Thomas Giroux rounds out the leading group with a total of -15, after shooting a 66 (-6).

Savoie and Papineau Still in the Running

Defending champion Joey Savoie remains well-positioned heading into the final round. The Québec native carded a 66 (-6) today to bring his total to -15, tying him for third place.

Étienne Papineau also had a strong third round, shooting a 68 (-4). He now stands at -13 overall and is tied for eighth place with three other players after 54 holes.

Jomphe Remains the Top Amateur

Anthony Jomphe continues his excellent tournament and remains the top amateur in the standings after three rounds. Jomphe carded a 67 (-5) today, bringing his total to -14. He currently sits seventh in the overall standings, which also puts him in an excellent position heading into the final round.

Benson Must Give It His All in the Final Round

Yohann Benson shot a third-round 73 (+1). With a total of -8, the PGA of Québec member is tied for 25thplace after 54 holes and will look to finish the tournament strong in the final round.

An Excellent Round for Stephen Thomas

Among the day’s standout performances, Stephen Thomas particularly shone with a superb 65 (-7). This round allowed him to jump 24 spots in the standings and put himself in a strong position heading into the final day of competition.

A Final Round That Promises to Be Competitive

With only 18 holes remaining, the race for the title remains wide open. The players will return to the Victoriaville Golf Club course on Sunday for the final round of the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup, when the next champion will be crowned at the end of the day.
