AU 9 1/2 WITH MARIO:

Talk about a great story.

The Ernie-Findlay and Pro-Assistant Tournament presented by Acces Physio, on Tuesday in Beaconsfield was won by Iannick Lamarre, the hero of the day and his godfather Rémi Bouchard.

The Laval-sur-le-Lac pair shot 62 to lead Dave Levesque and Pascal Edmond, both of GolfTech, by three strokes on a nine-under par card.

Iannick swept the field with a 66 despite a double-bogey to also win the Ernie-Findley Trophy by two strokes over Yohann Benson of the Mirage.

Zach's new dad of a month and the son of former Canadian PGA TOUR winner Jean-Louis, to continue with the family stories, Lamarre finished with birdies on the 15th, 17th and 18th greens.

"I'm happy for Iannick, a good kid and a good player. He hits the ball well and far," commented the godfather who did his part with four birdies and no bogeys in his only tournament of the membership year.

Iannick will have the $$$ to buy the diapers sharing $1600 with his godfather and pocketing $750 for his individual success.
