Sylvain Gaudet remains at the helm of the PGA of Québec
Following the Annual General Meeting of the PGA of Québec, held on May 22, 2025, Sylvain Gaudet was reappointed as President of the association, enabling him to lead the organization for a 2nd year.
Sylvain Gaudet, a member of the association since 2004 and one of the owners of Montcalm Golf Club, has been involved in every battle since the re-launch of the PGA of Québec in 2018. He has been on the board since the return of the PGA of Québec and is the only member still on the board who was on the association's first board.
''I'm really proud and honoured to be the president of the association, thank you to all the members for putting your trust in me. I'll be up to the challenge thanks to the support of the employees, the board, especially Scott Johnson and Anne Rogerson," said the new president.
Mr. Gaudet will be able to count on the support of Scott Johnson (vice-president) of Mount Bruno and Anne Rogerson (secretary-treasurer) of Le Champêtre, who complete the trio of board officers.
At the AGM, all the directors were also announced, with Charles Durocher (Club B2Golf) elected by the members present at the meeting. He will succeed Steve Deschênes, who moved from zone in 2025. Charles will join the 3 other directors already in place, namely Jean-Charles Côté-Sauvé (Le Blainvillier), Tommy Hazen (Golf du Lac Poulin) and Louis-Alexandre Pitre (Pinegrove).
On an interesting note, if all goes according to plan and the board officers remain in office until the end of their mandate, Scott Johnson will be the next president in 2026, and 2 years later, a new page in the association's history will be written as Anne Rogerson becomes the first woman president of the PGA of Québec.
Congratulations to all Board members on your nominations and especially on the time you devote to the evolution of the PGA of Québec.
