The PGA of Quebec closes its season in style with the Ernie-Findlay and Pro-Assistant Tournament followed by the Awards Gala
See the results – Ernie Findlay Tournament and Pro-Assistant Tournament Sainte-Julie, October 8, 2025 – The Ernie-Findlay and Accès Physio Pro-Assistant Tournament presented by IG Private Wealth Management, the final event of the PGA of Québec summer season, was held on Monday at the prestigious La Vallée du Richelieu Golf Club, in Sainte-Julie. The day offered its share of spectacular moments as the province's best professionals competed for the honours in ideal fall conditions, before attending the TaylorMade Awards Gala, presented by IG Private Wealth. The fight was particularly close on the fairways and it was finally Yohann Benson (Le Mirage) who triumphed thanks to an excellent card of -5 (67). He finished one stroke ahead of his closest pursuers, Brandon Rattray (Vallée du Richelieu) and Simon Ménard (Summerlea). "I'm proud to win this tournament and finish the season with my peers. I have been fortunate enough to participate in several major tournaments this year and it is an honour to represent the province on the Canadian and international stages. This day is a great opportunity to bring together the main players in golf and to share a special moment at the end of the season," said Yohann Benson. In the Pro-Assistant Championship, played under the best team ball format, the victory went to the duo of Marco Charron and Martin Plante, from the Balmoral Golf Club. Each training course was composed of a class A professional not eligible for the Ernie Findlay Trophy and an eligible professional. Tied at -6 (66) after 18 holes with William Blanchard and Billy Houle (Rosemère Fontainebleau), the winners sealed their victory on the second playoff hole. Finally, it should be noted that two quartets shared the honours in the Pro-am category at -11 (61): that of Luc Boisvert, Martin Hébert (Ki-8-Eb), Pierre-Luc Péloquin and Jean-François Pépin (Moosehead), as well as that of Sylvain Gaudet (Montcalm), Alexandra Pelletier (Country Club de Montréal), Carole Bergeron and David Bérubé (ANPTG). Celebrations that bring people together As is tradition, the Ernie Findlay and Pro-Assistant Tournament also served as the setting for the TaylorMade Awards Gala, presented by IG Private Wealth, where several members were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the golf industry during the season. The PGA of Quebec would like to thank Maxime Lalonde, master of ceremonies, for hosting this beautiful evening. Among the evening's winners was Keven Bilodeau-Tremblay (La Tempête), who won the prestigious Teacher of the Year award. "It is an honour for me to receive this award. It's a privilege to work in the world of golf, to share my passion and to be recognized by my peers. This job allows me to work with golfers of all levels and to see them progress, year after year," said Keven Bilodeau-Tremblay. "It's extremely rewarding to contribute to their development, both technically and humanly. This award is also a reflection of the teamwork and support I receive on a daily basis from those around me and my club. » Mario Bouchard (Royal Québec) was named Professional Manager of the Year, while Jean-Charles Côté-Sauvé (Le Blainvillier) was recognized as Head Professional of the Year. Alexandra Pelletier (Country Club) led the Class A professional category for the second season in a row, while Jean-Philippe Piché of Callaway Golf was voted Representative of the Year.

The PGA of Québec’s TOP 25 ranking, which takes into account the involvement, dedication, and contribution of its members to the golf industry, was also revealed during the evening. Thomas Ducharme (Venise) topped the ranking for the last campaign.
