The PGA of Québec Closes Out Its 2026 Season by Celebrating Its Members and Partners
Beaconsfield, October 5, 2026 — The PGA of Québec wrapped up its 2026 season in style last Monday at the Beaconsfield Golf Club, where Association members gathered for a final day of competition and to celebrate the year’s accomplishments at the PGA of Québec’s TaylorMade Awards Gala.
The day began with the Ernie Findlay Accès Physio Tournament presented by Abri Tempo, which also serves as the PGA of Québec Assistants’ Championship. In addition to crowning the champion of this individual competition, the event allowed assistants to team up with another PGA of Québec professional for the Pro-Assistant Championship.
Yohann Benson, PGA of Québec Assistant Champion
At the end of the individual round, under extreme playing conditions with winds reaching over 35 km/h, Yohann Benson won the PGA of Québec Assistants’ Championship with a score of 71, even par. He finished ahead of James Colin Davis and Simon Millette, who both carded 73 (+2) to tie for second place. This latest victory of the season brings Yohann’s total to three wins in 2026 on the PGA of Québec Tour.
The individual competition thus provided one last opportunity for the association’s assistants to compete against each other before wrapping up the 2026 season.
Simon Ménard and Patrick Muldoon Win the Pro-Assistant
Played under a two-ball, best-ball format, the competition featured a heated battle for the win.
The teams of Simon Ménard and Patrick Muldoon, as well as Christian Manègre and Michel Blier, both carded an excellent 67 (-4), forcing a playoff.
With an eagle on the first extra hole, the team of Simon Ménard and Patrick Muldoon ultimately came out on top to claim the top honors.
The teams of Thomas Provost-Blais and Pascal Edmond, as well as Yohann Benson and Éric Lafrenière, rounded out the podium, tied for third place with scores of 68 (-3).
An Evening to Celebrate the Association’s Members and Partners
After the competition, members and partners of the PGA of Québec gathered for the PGA of Québec TaylorMade Awards Gala, an evening dedicated to recognizing members’ hard work, professional development, involvement, and performance throughout the season. A huge thank you to Cabot Bordeaux, our partner for the evening, which provided the wines for the tables as well as bottles for all the Awards winners.
