THE PGA OF QUEBEC RECOGNIZES THE 2021 YEAR AT THE AWARDS

The PGA of Quebec is proud to announce the recipients of its 2021 Awards.

After a nomination process that spanned just over a month and saw a higher level of participation than ever before, three finalists were chosen in each category. The winners were determined by the PGA of Quebec Awards Committee, composed of the 2020 winners as well as Executive Director Dominic Racine and Board members Anne Rogerson and Sylvain Gaudet.

The awards ceremony took place on Monday, March 18 at the Vallée du Richelieu Golf Club. The recipients were present for this day. They all distinguished themselves during this year 2021 which saw golf flourish in Quebec, but which was not without challenges for golf clubs throughout Quebec.

Executive Professional: André Raymond of Club de golf La Tempête

Head Professional : Marc Hurtubise of Parcours du Vieux-Village

Coach of the Year: Antoine St-Jean of Génération Golf

Professional Shop of the Year: Dennis Firth of Royal Montreal Golf Club

Professional Development Award: Anne Rogerson of Hillsdale Golf Club
(Winner of the TOP 25 Professional Development Program)

Teacher of the Year: Sylvie Schetagne of Golf Tonus PTMT

Class A Professional: Alexandre Ouellette of Blainvillier

Apprentice Professional of the Year: Sarah-Andréa Landry of Pinegrove Golf Club

Junior Leader: Élizabeth Asselin of Royal Québec

Representative of the Year: Danny Poirier of Callaway Golf

The Contribution to the Development of Golf Award was presented to Jocelyne Bourassa as a pioneer of golf in Quebec.
