Whitlock Hosts an Exceptional Showdown and First Qualifying Spots for Victoriaville
Hudson, June1, 2026 – The PGA of Québec officially kicked off its individual competition season yesterday at Whitlock Golf Club, hosting the first Individual Classic of the year. At the same time, the course also hosted the first qualifying event for the 2026 Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup, offering participants a day of intense competition on one of the province’s most renowned courses.
As for the Individual Classic, the PGA of Québec professionals competed for a share of the prize money in a round that concluded in spectacular fashion. After 18 holes, Tim Alarie and Alexis Clément were tied at -3 (69) at the top of the leaderboard, forcing a playoff that will long be remembered.
The two competitors engaged in a true high-level duel for over an hour and a half, playing no fewer than six playoff holes. Alternating between the 18th and 10th holes three times each, Alarie and Clément demonstrated remarkable resilience and exceptional composure under pressure. Each hole offered its share of spectacular moments, as the two pros refused to give an inch to their opponent in what turned out to be one of the most captivating playoffs on the PGA of Québec Tour.

Alongside the individual competition, players were also vying for a spot in the prestigious field of the 2026 Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup, set to take place August 13–16, 2026, in Victoriaville.
Eight exemption spots were up for grabs during this first qualifying event, open to both PGA of Québec professionals and registered amateurs. These exemptions allow their holders to confirm their participation right now in one of the most important events on Québec’s summer golf calendar.
